Before music was all about overnight pop stars and monster-selling albums, there was an unwritten rule in the record business that true production takes time to cultivate. You pay your dues, hone your craft, and weather the inevitable storms. Such was the formula for career longevity. Nowadays, real development and musicianship seems virtually extinct, but there are some new-school purists - like songwriters/producers/composers/musicians The Featherstones, a record production and songwriting team from Baltimore, consisting of Christopher, Matthew, Justin, and William Featherstone. The Featherstones first full credit production was in 2002 on Dru World Order for R&B group Dru Hill.
The single "I Should Be..." went on to reach No.5 on the Billboard charts. The Featherstones have collectively crafted releases that have gone on to appear in commercials, films, and various television series. The Featherstones, a family of musicians thrive and focus on creating good music by showing true musicianship. While awaiting releases on major recording artists, The Featherstones continue to work alongside Mike Caren and the APG family.
